Updated: In response to the Shenandoah National Park wild fire, all six LD&B offices will serve as donation drop off locations for the Grottoes Volunteer Fire Department. Grottoes is serving as the command station for the entire fire operation.
Currently they are in need of food/drink items to pack in the volunteer fire fighters’ lunches. Over 275 lunches are being packed.
Items needed:
- All items have to be pre-packaged, no open containers or homemade items due regulations
- Bottled Water (lots of it)
- Bottled Gatorade/Sports Drinks
- Individual bags of chips, granola bars, peanuts, Slim Jims, muffins, etc.
- Applies and oranges
Basically anything that is individually wrapped that they can put in the lunch boxes for 200+ members every day.
All donations will be delivered to the Grottoes Fire Dept. Tuesday, April 26th in the afternoon. Donations can be made at any of our six LD&B locations during normal business hours, Monday-Friday, 8-5pm.
