Who is Kelly Stauff?

Kelly’s love for fire and rescue started early. Growing up in New Market, Virginia, Kelly learned from a young age what being a neighbor really means. Whenever the siren in the middle of town started whining, it was only a matter of minutes before the old international pumper drove by and a stream of farmers came out from the fields to help. That spirit of community and willingness to volunteer stuck with him as he took over his father’s insurance agency as the third generation and began volunteering as an EMT.

You won’t find the old siren in the middle of New Market anymore; engines are modernized, and the radio in Kelly’s office today is no longer CB. But throughout his 20 years of volunteer service and 30 years in insurance, Kelly’s passion hasn’t changed.

“If there’s one aspect of fire and rescue that I never want to lose, it’s that simple love for your fellow human being. It’s not about the job or the money, it’s about helping people in need. When someone needs help, you stop what you’re doing and help.”
