LD&B Matching Program for Local Fire Departments & Rescue Squads
Posted by LD&B Insurance and Financial Services on
On April 22, 2016 LD&B Insurance and Financial Services agreed to be a drop off point for donations for the Rocky Mount Wildfire effort. Thank you to everyone who made a financial contribution and donated food and water! We would like to extend a sincere thank you to the crews fighting the Rocky Mount Wildfire. In addition, we believe it is vitally important to remember the excellent work that all of our fire and rescue departments do every day.
LD&B would like to recognize the significant fund raising challenges local volunteer fire and rescue departments in our geographic area are facing (Shenandoah County, Rockingham County, Augusta County). With these fund raising challenges in mind, LD&B Insurance and Financial Services has invited Erie Insurance and Loudoun Mutual Insurance Company to help with the following effort:
We invite persons to make a financial contribution to the volunteer fire departments / rescue squad of their choosing in our geographic area between May 2, 2016 and May 30, 2016. The contributions will be matched three dollars to one dollar.
The goal is for $5,000 in gifts to be made from the community to maximize the $15,000 in available matching dollars for a total of $20,000. Erie, Loudoun, and LD&B have committed $5,000 each to be used as the three dollars for dollar matching funds.
Please make checks payable to The Community Foundation (TCF) and designate the volunteer fire department / rescue squad located in Shenandoah County, Rockingham County, or Augusta County that you would like to receive your contribution. TCF will account for all the checks and apply the matching funds.
Financial contributions will be accepted at the six LD&B locations. They may also be mailed to:
The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg/Rockingham County P.O. Box 1068 Harrisonburg, VA 22803

We sincerely appreciate the service the volunteer fire departments / rescue squads provide to our community, and to communities like ours throughout the country. We recognize the support the families, employers, and friends, of the volunteers extend to them. With gratitude in mind, thank you for considering a gift.
September is Life Insurance Awareness Month.
It’s the perfect time to remind ourselves to plan ahead for the ones we love.
